Fashion: Park Lake

Park Lake is at the forefront of modern minimalism. Just check out their Instagram which is a mood board for minimalist ideals. This brand, which is already flying off the shelves even in its first month, curates luxury leather bags that are unmatched in quality and construction. I was excited to receive one of these sophisticated bags from the creator of the company who is also a good friend of mine, Alex Do.

I first wore my Park Lake backpack to the New York Fashion Week Men's SS17 shows. I got so many compliments on this enviable item. Fashion backpacks have become as important an accessory as designer sneakers. So leave your messenger bag at home, and make sure you have two straps on your shoulders.

The Park Lake backpack, with its crisp lines and thoughtful colorways exudes confident luxury. The high end Italian leather, a material previously reserved for fine shoes and apparel, makes a quiet statement of "extra" high-end taste. Get this bag now before it gets picked up by luxury retailers around the country.

The webstore, was launched not too long ago, and features a selection of bags in different achromatic color ways. The limited edition light gray Leather Backpack I received is perfect for everyday use. The bag had multiple compartments and pockets to hold all of my necessities in place throughout the day. The bag is also crafted with details such as a laptop sleeve, double zippers, a top leather handle, and power-coated hardware all of which give my bag longevity and keep it looking new throughout its multiple uses.

If full leather is not your style, Park Lake also sells the Twill Backpack which is made mostly of top-quality cotton twill with a few modest leather accents.

Park Lake plans to expand their brand presence beyond web. Be on the lookout for some pop-up shops at locations near you and be sure to follow the Park Lake webstore and social media to see more chic streetwear accessories that cater to the stylish city goer.
